CIMS(Centre for Intelligent Monitoring System) is interacting with TMMHRC via Dr. Shabeer for undertaking research and to exploit the use of chromatic technology in diagnostic modalities using simple devices like mobile phone.
‘clikJaundice’ the apliction developed by Dr Shabeer, in collaboration with CIMS, Unversity of Liverpool, Jaundice is detected using skin images. Images are taken with a simple mobile phone and image are transmitted to a central server where it is processed using chromatic technology & results returned quickly based on which the doctors or the patient can provide suitable treatment to the new born babies.
Although many mobile technology solutions for Newborn jaundice detection is available in Healthcare, integration of advanced Chromatic technology with mHealth as in clikJaundice are rare in the market. clikJaundice is the R&D product of a JV between a leading UK University & Chromatic Mobile Health Technologies Pvt Ltd. (CMHT). TMMHRC, the parent organization of CMHT has research collaboration with University of Liverpool since 2004.
